May 10, 2010 (M2 PRESSWIRE via COMTEX) -- Braintree,Ma. LevelStock.com is pleased to announce to all of its members and investors information on Aquentium, Inc. (OTCBB: AQNM). The Company recently released news as follows:

Aquentium, Inc. (OTCBB: AQNM) an ozone water treatment and disinfection equipment manufacturer and its Joint Venture Partner, Advanced Food Safety International (AFSI) announced today that Advanced Food Safety International (AFSI) has been issued a PACA License.

The PACA license number issued to Advanced Food Safety International (AFSI) is 20100789.

In general, any business or individual who buys or sells more than 2,000 pounds of fresh or frozen fruits and vegetables in any given day is required to be licensed under the PACA. Wholesalers, processors, truckers, grocery wholesalers, and food service firms fit into this category.

A person who negotiates the sale of fruits and vegetables on behalf of another person is required to be licensed on the first transaction. A person operating in this capacity may be considered to be a commission merchant, broker, or a growers' agent. A broker handling only frozen fruits and vegetables, however, is not subject to the PACA licensing requirements until the invoice value of the total negotiated sales exceeds $230,000 in a calendar year.

A person selling at retail is subject to a PACA license once the invoice costs of fresh and frozen fruits and vegetable purchases exceed $230,000 in a calendar year.

Advanced Food Safety International (AFSI) based in Visalia California provides food safety consulting, produce procurement, and sales and marketing of ozone air and water sanitation equipment.

The Aquentium ozone equipment to be marketed by AFSI will help extend the shelf life of perishables. The equipment sanitizes and disinfects against food-borne illness pathogens and disease-causing bacteria. This process will provide grocery store produce departments and food processors reduced shrinkage, increase the bottom line profits and provide a fresher product for the consumer. This process uses no chemicals thus meeting the requirements of organic certification.

AFSI and Aquentium will also provide a range of options for grocery stores, restaurants, schools, hotels, hospitals, and cruise ship lines seeking produce procurement and food safety consulting.

Ozone is a non-chemical process that leaves no residue, destroys bacteria and pathogens over 3,100 times faster and 51% better than chlorine.

Aquentium believes that they have better technology to combat e-coli, salmonella, listeria and other bacteria or viruses than what most companies are currently using. The Aquentium non-chemical sanitation equipment is designed for both cost savings and improved safety standards for food and beverage processors, hotels, restaurants, hospitals, and schools.

The Aquentium non-chemical sanitation equipment is designed for improved food safety standards both domestically and internationally. The use of ozone equipment can also save money compared to the use of chemicals. Ozone can be used in water systems or introduced in the air in a safe, gaseous state. The goal at Aquentium and AFSI is to help prevent contamination of food. The Aquentium non-chemical process can extend the shelf life of fresh food which means higher profits for food processors and less waste for the consumer.

How Ozone Destroys Pathogens

Ozone eliminates or reduces pathogens by destroying the cell wall. Pathogens cannot develop resistance to ozone as they can to antibiotics, so there is no danger of developing superbugs through the use of ozone.

Why Ozone

Organisms Destroyed by Ozone Include: BACTERIA, CYSTS, YEAST, VIRUS, PROTOZOA, ALGAE, FUNGAL PATHOGENS

Ozone is the strongest disinfectant available, and is more than 3,100 times faster than chlorine in killing bacteria.

Ozone air treatment applications eliminates odors.

Ozone disinfection produces no harmful by-products. In contrast, chlorine disinfection creates carcinogenic by-products.

Ozone dissolved in water completely reverts to regular oxygen within 20 minutes, so there is no residue. For this reason, disinfection must always be accomplished with ozone water fresh from the tap.

Ozone dissolved in water is completely safe and rinsing your hands in ozone water will sanitize better than using any chemicals or soap and water.

Ozone is created instantly by the Aquentium disinfection system, so there are no more chemical sanitizers to buy.

Ozone also works best in cold water, reducing energy costs for heating water.

Ozone is also safer for the workers since there are no chemicals to handle.

"Aquentium's technology uses ozone as a disinfectant for food manufacturing equipment, and can also be used for direct application to food products to help destroy bacteria and viruses. Our mission is to use ozone throughout world as an antimicrobial agent for use in food-contact applications for preventing food contamination," stated Aquentium CEO Mark Taggatz.

With concerns over the use of chemicals such as chlorine, ozone is seen among manufacturers as a safer cleaning solution.

"Ozone is an excellent intervention regarding e-coli, listeria, salmonella and other bacteria or viruses. We are very optimistic that our patented technology will improve standards in the USA as well as internationally," added Taggatz.

Aquentium's ozone systems use can result in reduced energy costs for surface cleaning by eliminating the need for hot water during the process. Ozone can also help enhance the freshness of food products, including fruits, vegetables and seafood.
